GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ACID is a liquid alkaline membrane cleaning agent.
PRINCIPAL USES
ACID is a membrane cleaner developed to support the cleaning of acid insoluble sulfates of calcium, barium and strontium, as well as calcium fluoride. ACID is also effective in removing iron oxides and hydroxides as well as calcium carbonate. ACID is highly effective when used in combination with high pH detergent cleaners such as ACID to help remove organic substances and microbial slimes.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
DOSAGE & FEEDING
The dosage of ACID very much depends on the severity of fouling and the type of cleaning applied. Specific cleaning procedures for fouled membranes are available.
Your ACID representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.
ACID should always be used as recommended by the membrane manufacturer in respect to temperature and pH, as compatibility with all membrane types should not be assumed.
MATERIALS: Storage tanks, piping and feeding equipment for ACID should be constructed of PE, EPDM, PP, PVC, PTFE, Hypalon, Vinyl, Viton, Neoprene, Nickel, PU, Buna-N, stainless steel 304 or 316. Direct contact of the neat product should be avoided with aluminum, brass, carbon steel, Plasite 7122, 4005 and 6000.
HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING
As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
ACID can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
ACID is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY
The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. ACID representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
